In my shoes

Sneha loves walking around in my shoes, or her mom's sandals.
Often losing her balance, she falls and cries, but picks herself up, dons the big shoes again, and walks on.

What's in a "Chata"?

Well, "Chata" is hindi for umbrella.
And Sneha chose it as her word of the day today.

We kept hearing "Chata" while she was busy playing with her doll (Dipsy), or pouring water on herself (when we forgot to lock the bathroom).

When Shalu chided her for being naughty, Sneha replied nonchalantly, "Chata".

At 11:00 PM, half-asleep, she was still muttering, "Chata"!!

A Bindiful (fore)Head

Sneha is 22-months old now. Till only a few days ago, she bawled her eyes out if her mother went to the the bathroom. Now, she waits for her mom to go to the bathroom. Then, she rushes off to any one of the forbidden spots.

Yesterday, she got at her mom's Bindis, and pasted around a dozen Bindis on her face, hands, and T-shirt. Ran like several hares as soon as her mom emerged from the Bathroom. Shalu was helpless with laughter to dole out any punishment at the site!!
